In Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward, you are trapped in a large facility with eight strangers. After arriving at Floor B and choosing to enter the Red Chromatic Door, you will find yourself in the Laboratory. This small room is used for mysterious experiments, and it's up to you, with the help of Clover and Dio, to find a way out.

In the Laboratory, you'll need to start thinking like a scientist if you want to escape. If you've got your lab coat on, let's take a look at how to solve each puzzle in the Laboratory, how to get the Gold File, and ultimately how to escape.

First, let's take a look around the Laboratory. From where you enter, you will be facing a large triangle-shaped desk, on top of which are the escape safe, a microscope, a few containers, and the IG Replicator. This machine won't be used during the escape, so don't worry about figuring out what it does.

To the left of the desk is the escape door. Following this path to the right, you can find a scalpel and tray on top of a shelf. Move to the right again, and you will be standing in front of another shelf, on which is a drain that leads to a waste tank.

To the right of these shelves, in the corner of the room, are a supply of containers and beakers.

Moving to the right yet again, you can find another shelf with some seeds, a binder, and a mixing machine. To the right of this shelf is a series of faucets and pipes.

Now, let's seek a way out of the Laboratory.

To start, grab the first container of seeds and two empty capsules next to the IG Replicator. Then, pick up both binders to add steps for dissecting a frog and hydroponics notes #1 and #2 to your archive. Move to the right section of the desk and grab the second container of seeds next to the microscope.

Head to the left of the desk and pick up the scalpel from the lion tray, then move right and find the third seed container on the bottom shelf. At the corner wall, you can pick up the fourth seed container, saline solution, a frog, and roots.

Move to the right again and grab the fifth seed container, then read the binder leaning against the right wall of the shelf. This contains the DNA extraction instructions, which will be added to your archive.

Next, head back to the shelf with the drain and pour the frog ethanol into the drain. Then, with the scalpel equipped, dissect the frog. Opening the frog will cause the blue capsule to come out, which you can pick up. Additionally, you can pick up the waste tank from the bottom shelf, which you'll need to use later.

Go to the wall with pipes near the entrance door and inspect it to begin a mini-game. Here, you will need to move the faucets to fill each beaker with the correct amount of liquid. The solution to this puzzle is to simply move every faucet so that it is facing down.

With the liquid in each container, you will now need to place the correct seed in each of them so that they will grow. You can use the hydroponics note #2 for a hint, or use trial and error to solve this mini-game. Either way, the solution is presented in the image below.

After completing this mini-game, the red capsule will drop down, allowing you to add it to your inventory.

Next, move left to the mixer, and put the roots into the machine. Then, add the saline solution, and the ethanol from the waste tank. With one of the two empty capsules equipped, inspect the newly formed green substance to put it into the capsule, giving you the green capsule.

With the red, blue, and green capsules, head to the microscope on the desk in the center of the room. Add each of these to the slots in the top, and you will begin the final mini-game. Here, you will need to slide the DNA sequences into their correct positions to match every A with T, and every C with G. Moving one row of the sequence will may cause another row to move as well.

To solve this puzzle, move the second row so that is reads GATGCT. Then, move the fourth row so that it reads GTGTAC. Finally, move the fifth row so that it matches the sixth row. After the rows are in the correct positions, the monitor to the right of the microscope will turn green, giving you the Green Safe Password. Type this into the safe to open it and escape the Laboratory.

To get the Gold File, head back to the mixer. Pour all five seeds into it, then add the saline solution and ethanol like before. Doing this will cause a yellow substance to form, which you can pick up using the last empty capsule, giving you the yellow capsule.

Move back to the microscope and simply slot the yellow capsule into the machine to turn the monitor blue, granting you the Blue Safe Password. Put this into the safe to receive the Gold File.
