This collectible has to be seen to be believed.

Jada Toys has unwrapped a new action figure based on the classic 1933 The Invisible Man that joins the company’s Universal Monsters line. Check out the photos–courtesy of Toyark–on this page.

The Invisible Man six-inch scale figure–available now for pre-orders–comes complete with robe, scarf, gloves and sunglasses. The collectible has more than 20 points of articulation, a detailed sculpt and painted details.

The fully articulated form includes an alternate head (with peeling bandages), a hat, a lab beaker, a book and two alternate hands–and it comes showcased in collectible packaging.

The Invisible Man–directed by James Whale from a screenplay by R.C. Sherriff–was based on H.G. Wells’ 1897 novel The Invisible Man. The film stars Claude Rains as Dr. Jack Griffin, who is covered in bandages and has his eyes obscured by dark glasses–the result of a secret experiment that made him invisible.

The movie–a huge financial success for Universal Pictures–received strong reviews from many quarters. In 2008, The Invisible Man was selected for the United States National Film Registry.
